MINOAN PALACE OF KNOSSOS

The palace of Knossos has dated 2000 BC but it was re-discovered in 1900 AC. The excursion takes you straight to the heart of the Minoan civilization in Crete. We visit the most important of the Minoan palaces on Crete, the residence of the King Minos and the legendary Minotaur which is associated with a rich tapestry of Greek myth. During the excavations, a large number of objects were found and today exposed in the archaeological museum of Heraklion which we will explore in the afternoon.

 Visit the amazing Rethymno town with its aristocratic building entrances, the Fortezza castle, and the late Minoan cemetery of Armeni.

On the South coast, visit the famous monastery of Preveli, the venetian castle of Frangokastello, and Ancient Lapa.

We don’t forget the beautiful town of Chania and the surrounding monasteries of Akrotiri as well the ancient city of Aptera.
